Kid's Art Birthday Party Ideas

It can be hard to keep up with all the kids activities much less plan a birthday party that's not too hectic!
The art party has spun off from the adult paint and sip parties and gained great popularity with parents because by hiring an outside mobile art party company the set-up, entertainment and clean-up is taken care of. All they need to do is, invite, decorate and set a table of goodies! You can make it as simple or as elaborate as you wish.
Easy and inexpensive artist party themed decorations can be purchased online or at your local party store. There are also so fun ideas you can create for pennies for an impressive display (see pictured.)
ARTIST PARTY TREATS:
Artist Palette Cookies:
Slice and bake sugar cookies and paint with primary colored frosting (buy white pre-made frosting and add food coloring) ahead of time and lay out on artist palettes  found at your local craft supply store.
Rice Treat Paint Brushes:
Make rice crispy treats and cut in rectangles (or just buy them already made), insert "Popsicle" craft sticks (also found in art & craft store), dip treat ends in melted and colored white chocolate morsels and after they cool, wrap with cellophane food-safe treat bags (Container Store) and tie with ribbon.
Rainbow Popcorn:
Another fun item, pictured are multi-colored flavored popcorn treat bags. I love going to my local Cornucopia Popcorn store cornucopiapopcorn.com .
ART PARTY DECORATIONS:
Color Wheel  Backdrop made of Balloons & Streamers:
Pick up streamers and balloons of each color in the color wheel (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.) Tape, with painter's tape, six strands of same color streamers at the ceiling (or to the top of your backdrop), twisting make the effect pictured and tape to the base of your backdrop. Forego trudging out the morning of the party to pick up helium inflated balloons and simply inflate two of each color and tape above the same color  streamers and you have created a fun rainbow display!
THE ART PARTY GUIDE:
Unless you are an artist, teacher or party planner with experience with groups and keeping the paint from flying, I strongly recommend you hire a pro to set-up, and guide your guests. This way the kids are entertained and you get some quiet time with other parents or just to yourself to set up the next activity or simply regroup. There are paint party companies popping up all across the nation. If you live in the Greater Austin area, check out laughalotpaintandsip.com Kid's Birthday Parties
EXTRAS -
A great resource for art party themed paper goods, banners, signs, centerpieces and goodies is Oriental Trading .

I really love decorating birthday parties. I am a member of a huge family, and when I say huge, I mean really huge. I have five sisters and four brothers, all in all, we are about ten kids. The best part of growing up in a huge family, is probably the fact that you get to celebrate birthdays all of the time. As the eldest, I often help out my parents in the preparations. I just love planning and decorating.

Thank you for explaining that you can make an art party as simple or elaborate as you wish. To me, this is great to know because you could then tailor the party to the kids and what they want. I'll have to look more into kids art parties.

Hello there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had issues with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
