Not Ordering Art Kits?
Here are the recommended art supplies you may find online or at your local craft supply store:
We recommend keeping it simple and fun! Don't stress out over the color paint and brushes, because this is beginners art intended for you to connect, create & laugh together. Use what you have on hand. If you want some recommendations take a look below. I can teach you how to blend just a 5 recommended colors (that are similar to CMYK process colors used by printers) can be blended to achieve any color! For our acrylic canvas painting lessons you only need a larger brush (even 1" foam brushes will work) and a smaller round brush for details. With other surfaces like glass, ceramic and stone I suggest multi-surface acrylic paints and a small detail brush (but you could even dot paint on with both sides of a pencil! See our blog for tips on making your own watercolor inks and other tips!

You only need 5 colors and we teach you how to mix them to get any color!

- FOR CANVAS: any bottled or tubes of acrylics - We suggest cyan blue or pthalo blue, magenta or a cool red, lemon yellow (not orangey) black & white.
- FOR WATERCOLOR: watercolors are available in trays (Crayola have all colors you'll need), tubes or liquid in bottles. The colors recommended above.
- CRAFTS ON OTHER SURFACES: For glass, wood, ceramic or stone use Multi-Surface Acrylics: bright Blue ("C"), fuschia or magenta ("M"), Canary or Bight yellow ("Y"), black ("K") and white.
Canvas
The surface will be designated by the project you select and can be found around your home or outdoors, the grocery or hobby store and ordered online
- 11"x14" canvas panel, stretched canvas or heavy watercolor paper (We instruct on 11x 14 but you are free to purchase other sizes.)

You only really need two or three craft/hobby paint brushes (a 1/2" flat and #2 round will be good) :
